If your WhatsApp account gets disconnected from TimelinesAI, there's no need to worry. Usually, it's a quick fix.
Below is a simple guide to help you handle this situation easily.
Disconnections can occur due to:
Temporary server issues with WhatsApp
Network interruptions or phone settings changes
WhatsApp session expiration from inactivity
For a quick fix, follow the instructions:
Head to WhatsApp Integration Settings and go to this link.
Disconnect the current link (if it's still listed), then follow the steps to scan the QR code and reconnect.
After reconnecting, wait a few moments for your chats to sync back. Most often, everything will resume normally within a minute or two.
No SIM card, no camera, or can't scan the QR? Use Link-by-Phone
If you can't scan the QR code, for example, the WhatsApp account is on a SIM-less device, you don't have access to the phone's camera, or you're connecting from another device entirely, you can pair by entering your WhatsApp phone number and receiving a one-time pairing code in the WhatsApp app.
How to access Link-by-Phone:
Open app.timelines.ai/whatsapp on a mobile browser. (On a desktop browser, the page shows the QR code by default, the Link-by-Phone form is shown automatically when the browser viewport is 600 px wide or less. Resize your window or use a phone if you need it on a desktop.)
Enter your WhatsApp phone number in international format (for example, +447741447478)
Tap Request pairing code. A pairing code will be generated for you.
On the phone where this WhatsApp number is registered:
open WhatsApp β Settings β Linked Devices β Link a Device β Link with phone number instead, and enter the code shown by TimelinesAI.
Wait a few seconds for pairing to finish. The TimelinesAI connection status will switch to Connected.
Tip: on the same screen, the Login with QR instead link switches back to the QR scanning method if you change your mind.
If re-syncing doesn't resolve the issue, try these steps:
Ensure your connected mobile app is up to date (visit the App Store or Google Play).
Confirm that your phone has a stable internet connection.
Restart your device, then reconnect via the above steps.
