TimelinesAI Numbers lets you subscribe to a dedicated virtual phone number at numbers.timelines.ai. Incoming SMS messages appear in your Numbers inbox, including verification messages sent by WhatsApp. You do not need a physical SIM for the purchased number.
There are three separate steps: buy the number → register it with WhatsApp → connect WhatsApp to TimelinesAI. Purchasing a number does not complete the other two steps.

The number subscription is separate from your TimelinesAI workspace subscription. Buying a number does not include a TimelinesAI seat, shared inbox plan, CRM integration plan, or WhatsApp Business API messaging fees.
Before you buy
Countries and stock: the current catalog supports the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Sweden, and Netherlands. The country picker shows destinations with available stock. Check it before purchasing; a country or number may be unavailable.
Documents: the destinations currently offered do not require buyers to upload identity or address documents. This does not remove any requirements that Meta may apply to WhatsApp Business API onboarding.
WhatsApp setup: for the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business mobile app route, you still need the app on a compatible phone and an internet connection. The virtual number replaces the SIM for that number.
Compatibility: SMS delivery and acceptance by WhatsApp depend on third parties and are not guaranteed. If WhatsApp rejects a number, contact support with the exact error.
Buy a number
Open TimelinesAI Numbers.
Sign in with the email address you want to use for this purchase. We email a one-time sign-in link; no password is needed. Each link works once and expires after 15 minutes.
Choose an available country and number, then select Add and continue to checkout.
Review the billing option, setup fee, total due today, and renewal price. Complete payment on Stripe.
Return to the Numbers page while the number is provisioned. Once ready, the Verify screen shows your number and incoming SMS inbox.
Use the same Numbers sign-in email when you return later. An order is attached to the Numbers account signed in when checkout begins; entering a different billing email in Stripe does not move the order to that email.
If payment succeeded but setup is taking longer than expected, keep the page open. It checks for your order automatically. Do not pay again for the same purchase. Contact support if it remains stuck.
Understand the price
Prices are in USD and vary by number and country. The website advertises prices starting at $2/month; your checkout shows the actual amount for your selection.
Monthly: pay for the first three months upfront, plus any one-time setup fee shown at checkout. Monthly renewals start after the prepaid starter period.
Yearly: pay for twelve months at ten times the monthly price, plus any one-time setup fee. The subscription then renews yearly at the displayed annual price.
For example, if checkout shows $2/month and a $1 setup fee, the monthly option costs $7 today: $6 for the first three months plus $1 setup. The yearly option would cost $21 today: $20 for the year plus $1 setup. This is an illustration; use your checkout total for your purchase.
Register with WhatsApp and connect to TimelinesAI
Using the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business mobile app:
Open the official WhatsApp app you intend to use and follow its registration flow for the purchased number.
Enter the full number, including its country code, exactly as shown in Numbers. Request verification by SMS.
Open Verify in Numbers. The inbox refreshes automatically. Enter the received code in WhatsApp and complete registration there.
Open your workspace at app.timelines.ai and follow Connect WhatsApp to TimelinesAI. Generate the connection QR in TimelinesAI and scan it from WhatsApp's Linked devices flow.
The registration SMS code and the TimelinesAI connection QR serve different purposes. Use the QR generated in your TimelinesAI workspace to connect the account.
Using WhatsApp Business API (WABA):
WABA has a separate Meta onboarding process. Follow the TimelinesAI WABA integration guide; for a new Cloud API number, see the new-number activation guide. Receive the requested SMS in Numbers. Purchasing the number does not complete Meta verification, registration, or WABA billing setup. If you are unsure which route to use, contact support before registering the number.
Return to your number and SMS
Open My numbers, sign in with your purchase account email, and select Open beside the number. Use Verify for the SMS inbox and My numbers / Manage for that number's settings.
SMS-to-email forwarding can also send incoming messages to your email. Check Email me incoming SMS on the Verify or Manage screen and turn it on or off as needed. If an email does not arrive, check the live SMS inbox and your spam folder.
Troubleshoot a missing code or order
What happened | What to do |
Sign-in email did not arrive | Check the spelling and spam folder. Wait at least a minute before requesting another link. Use a fresh link if the previous one expired or was already used. |
My numbers is empty | Check that you signed in with the same Numbers account used to start checkout. Contact support if the order is still missing. |

For help, send your Numbers account email, the purchased number and country, the step where you are stuck, and the time and exact wording of any error. For payment issues, include your receipt reference. Hide verification codes, passwords, payment card details, and sign-in links in screenshots.
Cancel or release a number
Open the number's Manage screen. Manage billing opens Stripe for subscription and payment settings. Release number requests cancellation of billing and immediate release of the number.
Treat release as permanent. You can lose the number immediately, including during a prepaid period. Keep the subscription active for as long as you need control of the number or may need another verification SMS. Do not release it as a troubleshooting step.
Payments already made, including the starter term, are generally non-refundable under the Numbers Terms of Service, with exceptions for non-provisioning and where required by law. The terms also provide for a full refund if we fail to deliver a working number. Contact support to review a failed-delivery or refund request.
