Zapier Automation #1: Pipedrive and WhatsApp
With the TimelinesAI Native Zapier Integration, you can create Zaps for WhatsApp and Pipedrive. These Zaps will allow you to send automated WhatsApp message notifications to your Persons (contacts) from Pipedrive, as well as update elements(Deals, Persons, etc.) on Pipedrive, following events that occur within TimelinesAI, like editing a chat name.

Within this comprehensive article, we'll learn how to create Zaps for the following purposes:
Send an automated WhatsApp message when a New Deal is created on Pipedrive
Send an automated WhatsApp message when a Deal stage is updated on Pipedrive
We consider these to be basic Zaps that you can use within your workspace, however, we hope that after reading this article, you'll be able to create more WhatsApp/Pipedrive Zaps, based on your specific use case. Additionally, we'll provide Zap Templates for you to use, at the end of this article.
Log into TimelinesAI, Pipedrive, and Zapier.
Then, on Zapier, go to the Dashboard and refer to the "Make a Zap" section. Here, you should set up your Zap like this:
Once you are done, you may click on "Try it".
* Note: If you haven't done it already, Zapier will ask your permission to access information from your Pipedrive account. Once you approve it, Zapier will proceed and gather data from your Pipedrive account. You must also integrate TimelinesAI with Zapier. You can follow these quick steps, in order to have everything set for this and future Zaps that you create:
Go to TimelinesAI and click on the "Zapier" section
Make sure to click on the "Generate new token" button. This will provide you with a token that Zapier will require, to integrate with your TimelinesAI account:
Then, go back to Zapier and continue the process by pasting that token into this text box:
At this stage, you'll be editing your trigger (Send message to existing chat in TimelinesAI when new deal in Pipedrive) by completing the following details:
Choose account: Here you'll have to select your Pipedrive Account - we recommend to log into your Pipedrive account beforehand, so Zapier can load it easily within its respective drop-down menu.
Test trigger: Lastly, you'll have to allow Zapier to load your Deals. This Deal will be used by Zapier for testing this Zap.
Now, you'll proceed to work on the Action that'll follow the Trigger (Send message to existing/new chat in TimelinesAI when new deal in Pipedrive):
Choose account: Here you'll select your TimelinesAI account, which will be the one that will be used to send the message. Keep in mind that Zapier may ask you for a token, which you can always get from TimelinesAI by going to the Zapier section and then, clicking on the token that you have generated there - it'll be automatically copied to your clipboard, so you can then paste it within this section on Zapier.
Set up action: You can enter the details of your message within this section. The fields that you can work with will vary depending on the kind of action you want to make; sending a message to a new chat or an existing chat. We'll go over both scenarios here:
Sending a message to an existing chat:
Chat Id: This can be taken from the chat link on TimelinesAI - you'll see the identifier within the Chat URL. You can also get the chat URL from the Deal on Pipedrive
Whatsapp account phone: Your WhatsApp account, the one you have connected on TimelinesAI
Whatsapp chat jid: WhatsApp Web API chat identifier
Message text: The contents of your message. Here you may add variables, retrieved from Pipedrive, to your message, so you can send a personalized message to your contacts:
Sending a message to a new chat:
Whatsapp account: Your WhatsApp account, the one you have connected on TimelinesAI
Phone number: Your contact's phone number - Zapier will allow you to get this from the Deal, you'll see it as a variable called "Person Id Phone" - make sure to select that variable for this field
Message text: The contents of your message. Here you may add variables to your message, which will be retrieved from Pipedrive, so you can send a personalized message to your contacts. You may refer to the image above for your reference.
Next, Zapier will proceed with the test. Here you'll be able to send a test message using this Zap and how it'd look on TimelinesAI. Zapier will show you how the message will look like, based on the data you filled in before. You may proceed by clicking on "Test action", and the message will be sent to the contact, which will look something like this:
After you have confirmed that the message was sent, you may go back to Zapier and proceed to the last step, by clicking on "Next". This will take you to a section where you can double-check the details you just entered here and then, you may turn this Zap on.
Go to Zapier and then, create a Zap by adding the information required in the respective fields, like this:
Once you are done, you may click on "Try it". This will take you to a section where you'll be able to select the Pipedrive account that you'll use.
At this stage, you'll be editing your trigger (Sending message to existing/new chat in TimelinesAI when updated deal stage in Pipedrive) by completing the following details:
Choose account: Here you'll have to select your Pipedrive Account - we recommend to log into your Pipedrive account beforehand, so Zapier can load it easily within its respective drop-down menu.
Set up trigger: In this section, you'll be able to select the specific stage that you want to work with; these will be loaded from your Pipedrive account. You may leave it empty, in case you want to work with any Pipedrive stage, so Zapier can consider any stage change to trigger the Zap.
Test trigger: Lastly, you can test your trigger here, by allowing Zapier to load your Deals. This Deal will be used by Zapier, for testing this Zap.

Send an Automated WhatsApp Message when a New Deal is Created on Pipedrive
Step#1: Create your Zap
Log into TimelinesAI, Pipedrive, and Zapier.
Then, on Zapier, go to the Dashboard and refer to the "Make a Zap" section. Here, you should set up your Zap like this:
Once you are done, you may click on "Try it".
