To begin using the TimelinesAI and Monday CRM integration, you’ll need to install the TimelinesAI app in your Monday.com account. To install the app, use one of the following methods:
Method I: install via Monday.com App Marketplace. Log in to your Monday.com account > Open Monday Marketplace > Search by WhatsApp integration by TimelinesAI > Install app. Watch interactive demo of this installation method here

Method II : install via TimelinesAI workspace settings. Log in to your TimelinesAI account as workspace owner or administrator. Open Monday Integration Settings page and click STEP 1: Install TimelinesAI in your Monday account Watch interactive demo of this installation method here :
After installing the app—regardless of the method—you’ll need to grant TimelinesAI permission to access your Monday CRM data. This step is required in addition to the app installation process. Watch interactive demo of authorization process here . Authorization must be done by each user in your team who is going to use TimelinesAI integration feature under their own Monday accounts.
As workspace owner or administrator you must authorize using following steps:
Register TimelinesAI account if you don't have one yet. If you have an account, simply login. Then navigate to Monday Integration Settings page
Depending on how you installed the app earlier and whether your Monday account email matches TimelinesAI workspace owner's email, you will see either Step1, Step2 or both steps at the same time. Click "STEP 2: Authorize TimelinesAI in your Monday account" to authorize TimelinesAI access to your Monday organization account.
Don’t see the "STEP2" button? Click the "STEP1" button, then update the installation in the new tab that opens. After that, return back to https://app.timelines.ai/integrations/monday/ . The "STEP2" button will appear, and you can continue with the authorization.

As other workspace user ( example: agents) you must authorize using following steps:
Login to your team's TimelinesAI workspace, then navigate to Monday Integration Settings page.
Click "Connect only for me" to authrorize TimelinesAI access to your Monday account
With TimelinesAI Live WhatsApp Chat view you can start and continue WhatsApp conversations directly within items view page in Monday CRM. When the view is installed, the integration searches for Phone type columns and columns named ChatID that belong to the item being displayed. It then finds the matching synchronized WhatsApp chats in TimelinesAI and displays them directly within the view.
From there, you can read WhatsApp messages and sends replies, including support for message templates, attachments, and emojis. All messages are sent and received in real time, keeping the conversation timely and seamless—without ever leaving Monday CRM.

To get the most out of this integration, you’ll need to configure your Monday board for WhatsApp contact synchronization. This involves ensuring that your Monday board has specific columns to capture essential WhatsApp contact details.

Configure your Monday.com board to sync with WhatsApp activities using predefined templates tailored for various scenarios. These templates enable you to automate specific actions, such as creating items for new chats, updating existing items based on incoming messages, or attaching files. Use the table below to explore different automation options and access their detailed guides for seamless integration.
You can anytime come back to this automation template on your Monday board (Open your Monday board > Click on the Integrate at the top of the board > Switch to Board automations tab) to perform the following operation:
1. Disable the template using toggle switch
2. Edit the integration
3. Duplicate the integration
4. View Integration Activity
5. Delete Integration

With the template now configured, each new incoming WhatsApp chat will automatically sync its contact information to the Monday board you selected. The sync process will adhere to the parameters and fields you mapped during the setup.
Contact Creation: When a new WhatsApp message is received, the system will first search for the contact’s phone number on your Monday board.
Auto-Creation for New Contacts: If the phone number is not found on the board, the system will create a new contact entry for you, adding all mapped information such as the contact name, phone number, chat link, and any other specified details.
This setup only applies to new incoming chats. Existing or previous chat data will not be included in the sync 💡
