TimelinesAI's GoHighLevel integration lets you send and receive WhatsApp messages directly from your GHL sub-account — no API tokens to copy, no separate messaging tool to manage. Install it from the GoHighLevel Marketplace, connect a TimelinesAI workspace, and WhatsApp messages start syncing with your contacts automatically.
What it does
Outbound from workflows — add a "Send WhatsApp via TimelinesAI" action to any GHL workflow, choose the sender number, and message contacts the moment a trigger fires.
Inbound to contact notes — every incoming WhatsApp message is logged as a note on the matching contact, including sender, timestamp, and a one-click link back to the full conversation in TimelinesAI.
Auto contact creation — replies from numbers not yet in your CRM automatically create a new contact (in E.164 format, tagged with source "TimelinesAI WhatsApp").
Outbound mirror — messages sent through the workflow action are also logged as notes on the recipient's contact, so the full thread stays visible in GHL either way.
Merge tags — personalize outbound messages with tags like
{{contact.first_name}},{{contact.phone}}, and any custom field.
What you need
A GoHighLevel sub-account (agency bulk-install is also supported).
A TimelinesAI workspace with at least one WhatsApp number connected. If you don't have one yet, you can start a free trial.
Install & connect
From your GHL sub-account — or from the Agency view if you're bulk-installing across sub-accounts — open the Marketplace and find WhatsApp Integration by TimelinesAI.
Click Install. [CONFIRM: for agency bulk-install, does each sub-account connect its own TimelinesAI workspace individually, or is the workspace shared across all installed locations? Confirm with product before publishing.]
Once installed, open the app's settings tab and click Connect TimelinesAI.
Sign in to your TimelinesAI account (or create one).
Pick the workspace that has the WhatsApp number you want this sub-account to use.
You'll land back in GHL with the integration showing Connected.
No API keys or webhook URLs to configure manually — the connection is handled entirely through sign-in.
Disconnecting or uninstalling
Uninstalling the app from the GHL Marketplace app list removes the connection on both sides automatically. [CONFIRM: does uninstall also revoke the TimelinesAI-side OAuth token immediately, or is there a manual step in TimelinesAI too?]
Data & privacy
TimelinesAI stores only the install binding and encrypted access tokens needed to keep the connection alive. Message content itself lives in GoHighLevel — it isn't retained on TimelinesAI's side beyond what's needed to sync the note.
