You can connect Monday.com to your WhatsApp workflows using the Workflow Builder, no code required. Use triggers to react to board events on Monday and actions to create or update items automatically.
Triggers start a workflow when something changes in Monday:
Watch Items - fires when a board item is created or updated
Watch Status Changes - fires when a status column value changes on any item
Watch Column Value Changes - fires when a specific column value is updated
Watch Updates - fires when an update/comment is added to an item
Watch Subitems - fires when a subitem is created or updated
Actions let your workflow write data back to Monday.com.
Create Item - create a new item on a selected board
Update Item - update an existing item's columns
Change Column Value - set a single column (for example, flip a status to "Responded")
Create Update - add an update/comment to an item
Search Items - find items by column value
Get Item by ID - retrieve a specific item by ID
Example Workflows:
WhatsApp → Monday: An incoming WhatsApp message triggers a workflow that finds the matching item and posts the message as an update on that item.
Monday → WhatsApp: A board item's status changes, triggering a workflow that sends a WhatsApp message to the contact associated with that item.
When to use Workflow Builder vs. alternatives:
Workflow Builder (recommended) - Runs natively inside TimelinesAI and is included in your TimelinesAI plan, no separate subscription, and the bundled transaction allowance is more generous than a standalone Zapier plan. Extra transactions can be topped up on demand. Best when you need triggers based on WhatsApp events or simple Monday board updates.

To set the Workflow Builder:
Open Workflow Builder from the left sidebar of TimelinesAI.
Create a new workflow.
Select Monday.com as the app for your trigger or action.
Connect your Monday account when prompted.
Configure the trigger or action fields and activate your workflow.
