Finding attachments in a chat

Guidance on how to find attachments in a chat

You can easily find attachments in a dedicated tab that gathers all shared files in one place. This includes documents, photos, videos, and other media, making it simple to browse and access everything from the conversation.

To see chat attachments:

  • Open a chat and click the "Attachments" tab

  • You will be redirected to a page with the list of all attachments you have exchanged in the chat

In the list of attachments, you can see the attachments' Name, Size, File type, and Message date. You can do the following with attachments:

  • Download

  • Preview

  • Open attachments from the original message in your chat

Note: Very large incoming files may not appear here. Due to storage and performance considerations, TimelinesAI does not download and store incoming media above a maximum size (currently 100 MB). If an attachment exceeds this threshold it is skipped silently — no file is stored and no placeholder is added, so it won't show in the Attachments tab or the chat. If the message includes text along with the attachment, the text appears normally. This applies to incoming media only; sending limits are covered in Adding attachments to the messages.
