Transition from Deprecated ChatGPT Integration to ChatGPT Agents
The previous ChatGPT integration is now deprecated and no longer maintained. While your existing setup may still function, it will not receive updates or technical support.
For improved stability, expanded functionality, and ongoing support, we highly recommend migrating to ChatGPT Agents.

Full Control of Settings – configure advanced parameters such as model selection, temperature, and system instructions for each assistant.
Dedicated Agents for WhatsApp – assign specific assistants to different WhatsApp numbers in your Timelines workspace.
Advanced Instructions & File Support – reuse prompts from your old GPT setup, define new system instructions, and upload files to enhance performance.
Migration Guide
Follow these steps to move from the old ChatGPT integration to ChatGPT Agents:
1. Get Your OpenAI API Key
Copy your key from the old integration settings or generate a new one in your OpenAI Dashboard.
2. Add the Key to ChatGPT Agents
Go to the ChatGPT Agents settings page in Timelines.
Insert your API key to link your OpenAI account.
3. Create & Configure Your Agents
Copy your existing prompt from the old integration and use it when creating new agents at https://app.timelines.ai/openai/assistants/settings/ .
4. Connect the Agent to WhatsApp
Open ChatGPT Agents in Timelines.
Click Connect Agent and link your new assistant to the desired WhatsApp number.
Adjust other settings as needed.
5. Activate the Agent
Once activated, your assistant is ready to use. 🎉
