QR Code Not Scanning in WhatsApp – Troubleshooting Guide
If you are unable to scan the WhatsApp QR code to connect your account, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
1. Check your internet connection
- Ensure that your mobile device has a stable and strong internet connection.
- If you are using Wi-Fi, try switching to mobile data (or vice versa) to see if the issue persists.
2. Update WhatsApp to the latest version
- Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Search for WhatsApp and check if an update is available.
- Install the latest version before attempting to scan the QR code again.
3. Try a different device
- If possible, try scanning the QR code using a different mobile device to rule out any device-specific issues.
4. Make sure WhatsApp Web works
- Open WhatsApp Web in your browser.
- Try linking your mobile app to WhatsApp Web.
- If this works and recent chat history appears, your account is functioning correctly.
5. Restart your device
- Power off your mobile device completely.
- Wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
- Try scanning the QR code again.
6. Additional tips
- Make sure the QR code is fully visible on your screen and not partially cut off.
- Clean your mobile camera lens if the image is blurry.
- Avoid scanning in low-light conditions.
