TimelinesAI connects to your Salesforce org so your WhatsApp conversations sync into Salesforce automatically. This article walks through establishing the connection. For the full feature overview, see TimelinesAI and Salesforce Integration.
Prerequisites
Before you connect, make sure:
You are a TimelinesAI Owner or Admin (only Owners/Admins can set up the integration).
Your Salesforce user can authorize connected apps and holds the “Modify All Data” permission.
Your Salesforce edition supports the API — Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance, or Developer. Professional requires the Salesforce API add-on. Group and Essentials editions are not supported.
Connect Salesforce
Log into your Salesforce account in the same browser.
In TimelinesAI, open the Salesforce integration section and click Connect to Salesforce.
Authorize the app in the Salesforce window that opens. Once authorized, the window closes and TimelinesAI automatically refreshes to show the connection as established.
Once an Owner or Admin establishes the connection, chats from all connected WhatsApp accounts in the same TimelinesAI workspace sync to Salesforce.
Already using the older Salesforce integration?
If you previously connected Salesforce, switch to the new version with a one-time reconnect:
Disconnect the existing Salesforce connection.
Reload the page.
Reconnect using the steps above.
Your previously synced Salesforce data is preserved — disconnecting does not delete anything in Salesforce.
Troubleshooting
“Edition not supported” or an API error: confirm you are on a supported Salesforce edition (see Prerequisites).
Blocked at authorization: ensure the connecting Salesforce user has the “Modify All Data” permission and can authorize connected apps.
Authorization window closes without connecting: make sure you’re logged into the correct Salesforce org in the same browser, then try again.
